The hip hop scene in Canada's biggest city is extremely competitive. With 24:7, emcee Crossword is out to prove he's here to stay.
With no appearances by major Toronto figures, Crossword enlists a team of in-house producers, local emcees, and online collaborators to form a mercenary supporting cast. In turn, the 17-track tape exposes a collective possessing raw talent, hunger, and passion led by Crossword's uniquely retro style.
Although 24:7 is his first official release, Crossword has been songwriting for nearly nine years, writing and blogging journalistically for nearly three years, performing consistently for over two years, and presenting and promoting shows for almost two years, all for the love of music.
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, music is what Crossword lives for.
